Notified of All the Red Light Cameras
Thanks for the quick reply! I signed up for the 3 Year plan, and downloaded PhantomALERT database on my Garmin GPS. As I drove through Springfield, Ohio, today, it notified me of all of the red light cameras that I was aware of. On I-70 there are several areas marked ‘Target Enforcement Area’ where state and local police set up both ground and aerial traffic enforcement and my Garmin alerted me to all of them. My Husband Was Really Impressed With It

Realtor Loves PhantomALERT
As a Realtor, I am often on the road with clients showing them properties around town. Driving a yellow Mustang makes me a great ticket magnet and to protect myself and others I purchased the lifetime service of PhantomALERT. I found out about PhantomALERT from an article about Senators who wanted Apple to remove a group of apps that were showing where speed traps, DUI checkpoints, and red-light cameras where located. They were wrong in my opinion and when I looked into PhantomALERT I saw that this company used people power to run their apps on Smartphone’s and all types of GPS. PERFECT for a Sales Rep
I am a pharmaceutical sales rep and I drive all over DC, VA and MD all day long. I see speed traps and cameras everywhere and I have gotten my share of tickets. Professional Bus Driver Recommends PhantomALERT to Passengers
I am a coach tour bus driver from Cleveland Ohio. Someone from the office gave me a newspaper article about PhantomALERT. I downloaded the app to my Droid. I have used it for over a year and it has saved me from getting into trouble and tickets. Driving a bus in rural areas means you come across railroad crossings that are not safe to cross with a bus. The tracks can be too high and the bus will bottom out and get stuck on the tracks. PhantomALERT has saved me from a ticket and a towing charge. It has also saved damage to the bus and passengers. It’s Cool
So recently, I downloaded the program to my Garmin GPS and I tried the new service out. It's cool and works. Oh that lovely female voice telling me that a camera is about to take my picture! So yesterday, I went into the District and I was shocked!!! The device just wouldn’t stop binging! I was driving along New York Avenue, as I have done hundred of times and over a number of years, and had NO idea the amount of red light cameras. I knew of the one speed camera as I got a ticket there once. The cameras are literally on every corner. Well I’m sold.
Recently, I heard that Montgomery County, MD has approximately 67 fixed and 7 mobile cameras. They generated $15 million in tickets (naw…these devices are for safety, not revenue). I had heard that it’s such a successful program; the County is considering DOUBLING the amount of cameras. That prompted me to buy your service. (I guess you owe MoCo thanks for increasing sales).
I have been driving over 34 years; have never had an accident and only a few minor speeding or parking tickets throughout the years. These cameras are EVERYWHERE in this region. On Snowden River Parkway in Columbia, there are THREE cameras consecutively. Generally I have been a very good law abiding driver, but enough is enough. These cameras can be ‘fixed’ a number of different ways, as in setting how long a yellow light remains on. It just isn’t fair.
I heard recently that San Francisco either has started or considering a system whereby cameras take a picture of every license plate that crosses the city limits. With doing so, they can ultimately issue ‘commuter taxes’ to enter the city. I know DC is considering this system and waiting on some results. I had heard that NYC is considering it as well. With driving into the District almost on a daily basis, putting up with increasing parking fees, the notorious parking meter ticket writers, speed cameras, red light cameras and street sweeper cameras, enough is enough. Keep at it. I’m going to evaluate your program a bit more and I am also considering buying a better, more sophisticated GPS device, it’s time that average citizens have a tool to keep big brother at bay.- Alex Howe. Credible Database
You guys are doing an amazing job. I love the fact that the database is updated by drivers who have intimate knowledge of the locations they are reporting on. I myself have reported half a dozen speed traps and red light cameras in my area. I have also verified some speed traps and camera locations that were already reported by other drivers. I love the community aspect of it. It’s like each driver is responsible for mapping his or her own back yard and sharing it with other drivers from different parts of the city or state. When you multiply that by thousands of drivers reporting and verifying locations it makes for a credible database. Genius. The download was easy. I saw your YouTube tutorial videos and I loaded my Garmin in less than 10 minutes. I then took my Garmin for a quick spin past some of the known camera speed traps I know of and sure enough my Garmin alerted me to all of them. It’s now been 6 months and It has not let me down. You have definitely won me over. Keep it up. You have my support. I love my Garmin. I won’t drive a mile without it turned on. I work hard for my money and I intend to keep it.
